Dr. Augusto Miravalle and Kathy Keefer of Brain Health Center of the Rockies Join Nira Medical as key advisors

We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Augusto Miravalle, Chief of Neuroimmunology and Multiple Sclerosis at Rush University, and Kathy Keefer, President of the Brain Health Center of the Rockies, to the Nira Medical team.
Dr. Miravalle will serve as Medical Director of Education, and Kathy will join as Manager of Patient Education at Nira Medical.
A nationally recognized leader in neuroimmunology, Dr. Miravalle has devoted his career to advancing care, research, and education in multiple sclerosis. He has held key leadership roles at top academic institutions and is widely published in MS and CNS inflammatory disorders. His work is defined by a deep commitment to clinical excellence and mentorship of the next generation of MS specialists.
Kathy Keefer brings decades of experience in patient advocacy, education, and brain health programming. As President of the Brain Health Center of the Rockies, she has helped thousands of patients navigate the complexities of MS through education, emotional support, and community engagement. Her work is grounded in empathy, accessibility, and empowering patients to take an active role in their care.
In partnership with Dr. Mike Edgeworth, Nira’s Chief Medical Officer, they will lead the development of a comprehensive suite of programs designed to advance clinical education, peer collaboration, and patient empowerment across the Nira Medical network.
